At first, birds were a symbol for kitsch and a reflection/imitation of art. The parrot was mimicking art from a popular cultural point of view. Now, the work shifts to an another understanding of birds, who are so fragile — and yet they survive. They have become an indication of the health of the environment, and they allow us to see the world through strengths and vulnerabilities. Have you noticed that crows seem to have increased in numbers lately? Crows, Ravens and Magpies are all corvids.  These pieces hope to evoke an empathy with the context in which Corvids exist.
They are all messengers.
